Alistair Halliday is a PGA Advanced Professional with 35 years coaching experience. He has coached at some of Europe’s most prestigious clubs and golf academies including The Jack Nicklaus Golf School where he was Director of Golf and at the world renowned David Leadbetter Academy where he was a Senior Instructor.
Alistair has worked for the PGA, The Sports Academy, BB&O County, The Sports Academy, The Cranfield Academy and N1 Golf. He has worked in Italy, Holland, Austria and the USA. Alistair has been a regular contributor for Golf Monthly.
Alistair has built a strong reputation for developing junior golfers, steering many on the path to a career in golf.
Alistair’s experience and knowledge allows him to communicate with and improve golfers of all standards.
Teaching Philosophy
I am passionate about working with golfers of all levels, I believe everyone can improve. It is my job to identify the major weaknesses in a golfers game and then tailor the instruction to their skill level, practice habits and goals in order to gain the maximum improvement. This is where EXPERIENCE is priceless.
Throughout my coaching career I have embraced advancements in coaching, most notably the introduction of TECHNOLOGY. Not long ago video was considered high tech, but now we have launch monitors and force plates helping coaches deliver a golfing MRI. At The Golf Project we use industry leading GC Quad launch monitor and Smart2Move force plates, utilising the appropriate data without overwhelming the student with numbers and science.
